GLENHOPE-MURCHISON RAILWAY.
♦ r- . (PHBSS ASSOCIATION TJSLEOJtAM.) MURCHISON, June 12. The Murchison Progress League last evening decided to request Mr R. P. Hudson, M.P., to urge the Minister to make a substantial increase in his' grant for the Glenhcpe-Murchison railway, and also to expedite its construction. It agreed ,to support the Marlborough League in requesting the early completion of the Tophouse-Blenheim road. Satisfaction was expressed at the Canterbury League's report referring to the Glenhope line, but exceptionvwas taken to Mr Cockayne's re--port on the district. It was decided to request the Nelson Progress League's co-operation in securing a soil survey by the Cawthron Institute. —— I !
