LATE PRIME MINISTER.
CITIZENS* MEMORIAL FUND. The City Council requests the cooperation of the citizens of Christchurch in the raising of a. fund for the erection of a suitable memorial which will commemorate for all time the late Mr Massey's valuable and distinguished services to the Dominion. Subscriptions ere invited for the purpose of erecting a monument on Mr Massey's tomb at Point Halswell, Wellington Harbour, and to - commemorate by statue or other memorial in the Parliamentary grounds his name and public service, and for the further purpose, if funds will allow, of planting and beautifying the burial ground at Point Halswcll. Tho fund 9 collected are to be expended by direction of a committee consisting of tho Prime Minister, the two Speakers, the Chief Justice, and) by one person to bo nominated by Mrs Massey .or her family. Subscriptions may be forwarded to tho City Treasurer, who has been appointed treasurer of the Council's fund, or to the Mayor (Mr J. K. Archer).
