CANTERBURY ASSOCIATION. The Management Committee of the Canterbury Hcckcy Association met. last evening. Present—Messrs W. Williamson (chair-' man), H. R. Sampson, 11. Hill, J") Hill, W. Bell, A. Mahoney, C. Rix, W. Graninier, P. Campbell,-H. Lamb, L. Cummins, J. H. Williamson, It. Cummins and L. L. Smith. An apology for absence was received from Mr W. D. Kirkptftriek. Tho Domains Board wrote agreeing to the Association leaving the nets erected at Hagley Park for this season, but stating that permission must be obtained before erecting tho nets next seison. The Wharenui Club asked permission to withdraw their Third Grade' B team, which was granicd. The Trinity Club forwarded a donation towards entertaining the. Australian team, and tho St. Albans and Wesley Clubs also promised donations. The A T cw Zealand. Association wrote notifying, the names of tho selectors for the iVew Zealand team to play tho Australian terim at Wellington in August, also dealing with the senior tournament. It was decided to ask the selector to secure an eleven to play the Australian team and to represent Canterbury in the tournament." ' ' , A recommendation from tho Grounds Committee that the grounds -at Hagley Park be cut and rolled was received, and it was decided to proceed with tho work at once. The Selwyn "Club forwarded a- request 'to interchange a player : in their two senior teams. The request was referred to the Permit Committee, with it recommendation that it bo granted. The register-keeper reported that there were 425 registered players pairtiicipating in tho game this eetson, exclusive of primary school boys. The register-keeper reported on laxity in forwarding results of matches, • and it was decided to fine defaulting teams " It was decided to write to the Trinity Club asking for a Tep:-rt upon tho performances of one of their Third Gradeplayers. 'Hie selector, Mr H. Throp, stated that in his opinion it. would be possible to secure ono representative team to attend the tournament at Wellington.
