t The Canterbury School Committees' Association met last night, Mr G. P. Purnell presiding. The chairman in -welcoming new delegates, said that they all realised that ti» time had arrived for the rejuvenation. _of tho Association, and,ho expressed a wish 'that they would perform muck,useful -work during tho coming year. • Tho following Mib-committes was elected to confer with the Education Board in connexion with the failure of certain districts to elect school committees:—Messrs West, PycToft, Thompson, and Harvey.
