ASSOCIATION.

MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. A meeting of the Canterbury Football Association was held on Monday. PresentMr R. English (chairman), ' Dr. Marks, Messrs F. L. Eastgate, A. E. Sharman, W. 11. Benson, W. Baesett.R. Wfcod, F. Rentley, W. Duncan, E. Knights, W. P. Ramsay, J. Robb, R. B. Walker, and R. B. Bunt (secretary). The chairman welcomed Mr W. H. Benson to the executive. A letter was received from Mr W. G. Bagrie resigning his Mat • on the Manage l ment Committee, owing to his icmoval to Auckland.—Accepted with regret. A letter from the New Zealand Football Association was received acknowledging the decisiou of the Canterbury Football Association to to the increase in affiliation fees.—Received.

A further Utter from the New Zealand Association notified that it was the' intention of flic Council next year to supply footballs- to u.ll schools' operating under tho jurisdiction of the various Centres. The Council also notified that a' sole solector for New Zealand bad be<?n appointed.— It was decided to advise tho Council that in the opinion of this Centre the time had now arrived for 4 selector to ho appointed for each island.

The New Zealand Council also wrote stating that negotiations were proceeding with a, view for a visit of the English team at present touring Australia, also for an Australian team's visit. The transfer of H. Lalterway from Western to Lyttelton -was approved. Mr J. A. Robb reported that the gaime was making satisfactory progress in the schools.

The secretary (Mr R. B. Bunt) reported on tho Lancashire v. Yorkshire football match, which was held at English Park on Wednesday last, June 3rd, and also on the function hc'A by the Lancashire Society in the evening, at' which several members of the Canterbury Football Association executive were present.. Tho Financo Committee recommended that the Centre forego all profits accruing from the visit of the Chinese touring tram last season, the same to be remitted to the New Zealand Council.—Carried.
