ELLESMERE. Last Saturday, in weather; the Ellesmere Gun Club held a live bird match' for trophies valued at'£6 6s and £3 Bs, and cash prizes of- 20s for third and 10s for. fourth. There were 17 competitors, ,tho number of birds, being 12,", six pigeons aW six sparrows. At pigeons the was gofcd, but the' sparrows were ~ most lively birds and providedv some tricky shots. At pigeons, S. Vince, E. Washbournej.ahd F. Graham killed all six birdß, W>Quigley, L. C. Lemon, and D. Strez securing five. S. Vince killed five sparrows, putting up a score o£ 11 kills, winning .first prize. W. Quiglcy and P. Graham tied .for eecond place with 10, and in. the shoot-of£ P. Graham secured the Be'corid; prize, W. Quigtaking third money. For the fourth prize, W. Winchester, E. Washbourne, and F. G. Fiampton shot off; E. .Washbourne being successful. < . A £3O pigeon match will be shot next Saturday, after , which ,the club's: annual diick dinner will be held. . \

SPRINGSTON. The third shoot for fhe Barnettcup, was held in Mr C. N. Powell's paddock in lino weather. There ware fourteen competitors. The winner proved to bo T. ■J. Kimber, who shot the possible.'
