WATER SUPPLY.
.—-♦—__ ■ FURTHER WORKS. The newly constituted Water Supply Committee under the chairmanship of Cr. A. W. Beaven, presented its first report to the City Council last night. The report stated that tenders had been received for the supply of piping and materials in connexion with ihe completion 'of the reticulation in St. Albans and North Richmond. The City Engineer was instructed to have the, tenders scheduled and make a recommendation thereon. The Comnritteo would report further on the mat-* ter to the next meeting of the Council. The City Engineer had intimated his intention of preparing a, scheme for augmenting the city water supply. The scheme,would be placed before the Council in du& course. -- During the. months of March and April, 27 ordinary and 59 extraordinary connexions to the city water supply, were made. In addition, 67 connexions were made for builders and contractors. The report was adopted.
