UNWELCOME VISITORS.
GERMANS NOT WANTED IN NORWAY. (by cable—fbess association—copybight) ("the roots.") LONDON, June 7. The Oslo correspondent of "The Times" says that the Norwegian Press takes strong • exception to the announcement that a, number of German naval units will visit the Norwegian coast during the summer. The restoration of normal relations with Germany is naturally desired, but the "Sjofartstidende" warns the German Government that no improvement can be expected by over-early resumption of annual obtrusive naval visits characterising the Kaiser period. "There are," the paper adds, 'still dwelling around the Norwegian coast, thousands of families who lost their dear ones through German submarine warfare, which, rightly or wrongly, they consider synonymous with murder. Their, sorrow, which is now almost healed, ought not to be renewed. Germany should be bluntly told- that she will gain nothing by sending warships to Norwegian waters. On the contrary, it is emphasised, the longer they stay away the sooner relations will become normal."
