The United States Lawn Tennis Association lias announced the following dates for Davis Cup matches: —Spain will meet Cuba at Havana en June 28th, and the winning team then sails for Mexico, where the second round is scheduled, for July 16th. The winners of this contest will play Japan at Baltimore, Country ■ Club on August. 13th. Japan, having, advanced to the semi-final round through the default of China. Canada, which is placed in the semi-finals of the lower half through tho default of New ZeoJiind, plays Australia at Montreal not ■later than August 13th, Hawaii having also defaulted. Wallis Myers, one of the leading tennis authorities, predicts that France will again reach the final of • the European zone. FRENCH HARD COURT TOURNEY. (iUSTBALIAIT AND N.Z. CABLX ASSOCIATION.) (Received June 7th, 5.5 p.m.) PARIS, June 6. In the Fronch hard-court championships, the semi-finals of the singles resulted:— Borotra beat W,asher, 6-1, 6-3; Mdlle. Lenglen beat Conoto St, Avlos, 6-2, 6-0; Miss McKane beat Valasto, 6-2, 6-2; La Coste beat Jacob, 6-2, 6-1, 3-6, 7-5. In the finals, La, Coste beat Borotra 7-5, 6-1, 6-4, and Mile. Lenglen beat Miss McKane 6-1, 6-2.
