The suburban tennis tournament was continued at Wilding. Park. courts on Saturday. Tl» following are the results'erf the matches played:— Men's Doubles Handicap. SEMI-FINAL. \ Smsill and Clark (owe IS) defeated Pierce and O'tfaOey (owe 1-2 15) 9-8. Hollobon and Yestey (owe 3$ defeated Chapman rad Haynea (owe 15) 9-7. Ladles' Doubles Handicap. SHMJRTNALS. Misses Greig sod Guy (owe 30). defeated Misses King and Wenmouth (ecr) 9-3. a'Mrs Page and Miss Muirson (owe 30 1-3) defeated Miss Leighton and Mrs Ballin (owe 16) 9-4. PINAL. Miss Muiraon and Mrs Page - defeated Jttisses Gieig- and Guy-' 6-2, 6-2. There are fitilTa few matches to, be played in connexion with this tournament. MISS M'KANE DEFEATED. In -view of the approach of the Wimbledon tennis meeting, the defeat of the lady champion, Miss McKane, in the ■ final at the Birdhurst tournament by the eighteen-year-old girl Joan Fry, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4, ia regarded as significant. 7\ . MOUNT PLEASANT CLUB. The Mount Pleasant Croquet, Tennis and Bowling Club have decided on a site and are calling for tenders, so it should not be long before the residents of Mount Pleasant are ablo to foregather and enjoy ft game of tennis. Mr H. S. Hobday has promised the club a, donation of £25.
