(sracui to "era mms.") TTMARU, April 30. Tie annual general meeting of the South Canterbury Returned ' Soldiers* Association waa held this evening, Mr L. M. Inglis presiding oyer a small attendance. The annual report stated that the financial membership as' at March 3lßt was 144. This showed a large decline annually, and the committee were anxious that the membership should,'if possible, be increased during the ensuing year. The street sales of poppies had brought in' £315 16s 6d, and the net amount available for unemployment relief through the South Canterbury branch of the Association was £129 7 B Bd. The election of officers resulted' as follow:—President, Mr A. N. Noakey; vicepresidents, Messrs L. M. Inglis aid J. P. Steven; treasurer, Mr S. Goodman; secretary, Mr .G. Johnson; committee, Messrs H. B. Courtis, K Wallace, E. Berry, J. Camming, B. Gorman, W. Foster, W. McLaren and F. Knowles.
