MINERS' UNIONS.
MOVE AGAINST ARBITRATION. , ' (rsxss ASSOCIATION tblbokam.) WELLINGTON, April 30. The movement amongst the coal miners of the Dominion against the Arbitration Act appears to be growing. It is believed that the new .organisation known as the United Coal Mine Workers of New Zealand is gaining strength. Some time ago all the unions on the West Coast cancelled their registration under the Arbitration Act, and formed tho West Coast District Council, which now is registered under the Act. Of the five Coal Miners' Unions in the North Island, Hikurangi, Glen Afton and Taupiri have notified their intention of cancelling their registration.
