COLLEGE-HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL MATCH.

TO THE EDITOR O? "THE PMBS." Sir, —Tt is quite refreshing to find someone taking up the cudgels for a gentleman who has the courage of his convictions and who is not afraid to stand up for his principles in the face of a. fairly adverse lot of critics. I quite agree with "W.D.," but do not think that he goes far enough. For my part; J should think that, whilst acting as partisan for Mr Crosse, he might, with very good reason, have made a few trenchant remarks about those sportsmen (?) who arc trying to discredit him in the public eye. However, to make use of an old maxim, "You cannot make a silk purse out of a sow's ear." —Yours, etc.. GADAfiE.VE. April 25th, 192^.
