One result of broadcasting is that the big trumpet sheila of the Triton species of molluscs are no longer curio? for a zoologist's collection but a valuable commercial product. For loudspeakers they surpass any artificial horn in ton© and quality. Thus one of these big spiral shells which a dozen years ago found an occasional purchaser at half a sovereign, now fetches 85s or £2, and London naturalists are lrooking orders for the pick of consignments not yet to hand.
