The Duke of York at 'half-time invited him into the royal box, but Mr Mac Donald declined on the ground that he was accompanied by friends. The. invitation then was extended to the friends and repeated with such insistence that Mp Mac Donald' and party accepted and entered the royal box, where Mr MacDonald was bidden to sit on the right of the Duehraßy with whom he was in close conversation until 4he <nd of the game.
