IVY OF LINWOOD LODGE.
A.D. Bro. Geo. Russell presided over a well-attended meeting of the Lodge held in t-he Orango Hall. A clearance from the Ivy Lodge, Waimate, was accepted. One candidate was proposed for membership. The iiards reported visiting the Brothers on the sick list, and sick pay £ls was passed for payment. Cne maternity allowance claim was received, and payment made. A.D. Bro. Russell presented Bro. _ T. "W. Burgess with a brief bag in appreciation of his past services to the Lodge. having passed through the chairs for the second term. Bro. Brett received a welcome back to the Dodge, having returned from tie North Island. Bro. C. Tonkin was appoiat-i ed captain, and Bro. A._ Blogg as assistantl of the card team playing in the card tournament. It was decided to open the Lodge meetings at 7.30 p.m. for the winter months. After the routine business, the Lodge adjourned to hold a piird tournament amongst the members, which was won by Bro. A. Blogg.
