At tlie resumed inquest on Grace Blackaller. deceased's sister said sho wished to correct a previous statement* that deceased was John Blackaller'syoungest daughter. She was 3lrs Blackaller's illegitimate daughter bornafter Blackaller's death. Mrs Blackailer admitted that Grace was born from six to seven years after her first husband's death. Mrs Jones gave evidence that Grace was the daughter of her husband, who died a decade ago. She had separated from her husband four years preceding Grace's birth.
The Coroner, in summing up, said the case threw a peculiar light on the social conditions of certain classes, perhaps all classes, in these modern days. It was a tragedy cf parental neglect and exhibited in an extreme character what was called the emancipation of the sexes.
