HOLY TRINITY CHURCH.
The annual meeting of parishioners was held in the schoolroom on Wednesday evening. The Rev. A. J. Petrie presided over a geed attendance. Tho balance-sheet 6howed a credit of £67 8s Sd, which was regarded a3 being in a largo measure due to tho envelop© system, the general offertories having been £3O in excess of the previous year. The vicar gavo a brief outline of the year's work, in which ho stated that he considered there had been a very definite advance, especially on the spiritual side. Ho referred with pleasure to the taking nip of missionary work among his own people by James Kokiori, after his departure from Quail Island cured from leprosy. The renovation fund had now reached £ll4, and work will probably be started at once. The Sunday school hid again shewn improvement, the. number of teachers and scholars steadily increasing, tho record attendance for the year being- 196 children. Of the £57 raised in the parish for missions, ££! 16s had been contributed by the Sunday school. The election of officers resulted as follows :—Vicar's warden, Dr. C. Upham; Parishioners' warden. Mr S. Tredennick: paroichial council {which includes the Messrs F. E. Sutton, C. Beaumont, W. Peebles, D. Loader, J. Stokes, J. A. Sowden, L. A. Graham, E. Mnxlow, E. Martin, P. Roberton E. lllingworth, E. Davis, J. Bradburv, F. Norton, and A. Da ; e A voto of "thanks to the vicar was passed, to which ho suitably responded. . Supper waa handed round, after which there was a- short concert programme, item 3 being given by Miss E. Mujdow, Messrs V. Carson, A. Leslie, F. Heal, and A. Swaby, accompanied by Mrs Merrineld.
