JERUSALEM, April 22
An Arab delegation petitioned Mr L. S. Amcry, Secretary of State for the Colonies, for self-government, protesting that they were over-taxed.. They urged Great Britain to abandon the futile Zionist experiment, stating that intensive Jewish immigration, including undesirables, had ruined Palestine economically, and detracted from British prestige. Mr Amery replied that Great Britain was striving to form an independent Arab Empire.
