At tho enquiry into tho death of lioslio William Redskaw, aged 26, trom injuries received in a motor-cycle accident, tho evidenco showed that Redshaw and a companion left town for Ashlmrst in tho early morning after a dance, his companion pillion-riding. Tho cycle apparently skidded and struek'a Power Board pole, both being thrown to tho ground. In returning a ve:dict of accidenlai death, the Coroner said that pillion-riding was a dangerous practice, though there was diversity of opinion on the subject. DUNEDIN, April 22. Marv Bain, single, aged 38, residing at Wa'ipahi, died in hospital during an operation for goitre. Preliminary tests caused tho doctor to consider her a good operative risk. A post-mortem has been ordered.
