The confessions made by several of the men arrested in connexion with the murder of Sir Loo Stack, have beeu published. These show that after the breaking down of negotiations between Mr MncDonald and Zaghlul Pasha, members of a vengeance society called "'The Redeemers." met at tho house of Chat'ik Mansour, who was n deputy. They decided upon a political murder and the Sirdar was chosen jfs tho victim. Kashid AH committed tho murder, assisted by five others, Chafik agreeing that a political assassination would help tho independence movement. Chafik, however, now declares that murder was only decided upon in principle at his house. Ho says that ho always feared that tho crime would endanger Egypt. In view of the confessions tho trial of the accused should begin tho middle of May and last only a few days. Thus far 150 persons have been aircstod on suspicion and four of tho revolvers actually used in tho attack have been found.
