OBITUARY.
ME A. JUDGE. (WSCHU. TO "IHB TBSW.") DUNEDIN, April £2,
The death occurred early yesterday morning of Mr A. Judge, at the age of 87 years. The lato Mr Judge was for about thirty vears employed in the " Evening Star'' office, but for the last twenty-seven years had been living in retirement. He was one of the pioneers in the Labour organisations, and was a man of sterling character, popular and esteemed. A son, Mr W. A. Judge, is the wellknown Dunedin journalist, of the subeditorial staff of the "Evcping Star."
MR ROBERT ELLIOTT. At hi ß residence, Cust, on Saturday, there passed awav an old aDd respected resident of the Oust district in the person of Mr Robert Elliott, Tho late Mr Elliott was born at Swannanoa 57 years ago, aud for three years taught at the Ohoka School. On marrying, he took up a farm at Cust and successfully carried out agricultural pursuits there until the time of his death. Although an ardent worker in the interests of the Church of England, of which he was a member, Mr Elliott took little aetive interest in local affairs. Their loss is mourned by his wife and family of four, thrco sons and a daughter, Tho funeral took place at the Cust public cemetery on Monday, the service at the graveside being conducted by Rev, A. H. Mc. Acheson. In addition to family wreaths, floral tributes were sent by Mr and Mrs Leslie, Mr and Mrs G. F, Wnylarid; Mr and Mrs F. Tritt, Mr and Mrs W. Finlav and family. Mr and Mrs L. W. Campion, Mr and Mrs Patchettj Mrs Kerr, and Mrs Allison.
