CLANDEBOYE.

. The annual meeting of the Clandeboye Athletic Club was held on Monday evening, Mr C. Neville, president of the club, in the chair. The annual bal-ance-sheet was received, and considered very" satisfactory; Members' subscriptions, donations and sale of cartridges had brought in £23. New equipment, including two new rifles, hire of hall and sundry' small expenses had accounted for most of this, leaving a credit balance of £1 6s 2d. The president reported that during the past year the club had taken up a new branch of activity in miniature rifle shooting, and this had met ; with/ready and consistent support from the members. On the motion of Mr "W. H. Cartwright, a very hearty vote of thanks was accorded to the donors of trophies during the past year. The matter of subscriptions wasdiscussed, and it was decided to leave this to the incoming committee to arrange. The opening night was fixed for Monday, May 4th, to take the form of a miniature, rifle shoot. Mr W. H. Steniland referred to the great amount of work done for the club by the retiring secretary, Mr L. Liddle, and a hearty vote of thanks was carried: by acclamation. The election of officebearers was then •■ proceeded with and resulted as follows:—Patron, Mr T. D. Burnett, M.P.; president, Mr L. J. Grant; vice-presidents, Mr C. Neville and Mr J. Bisdee ; committee, Messrs W. H. Steniland, J. M. Craig; J. G. Barry, J. Millard, A. Mackie, L. Liddle, N. Ward. The annual meeting of residents in connexion with the Clandeboye Public Ha 11,., was held on Monday • evening, when Mr C. Prestidge presided over a fair . attendance of the general public. The balance-sheet for the past year showed v a credit balance of £ll 9s sd, the principal receipts being £l3 lls.Bd, raised bv the ladies' committee, and £l7. for "the hire of the-hall. On the expenditure side the principal .items were due to the payment for an improved stage and curtains within the hall, and for an improved approach and entrance to the hall property. On' the molion of the chairman, the report and balance-sheet were adopted. The following were elected to the new committee: —Messrs J. Boocock. "W. Flett, A. Goldsman, A. Mackie, G. Mulligan, 0. Prestidge, and S. Parke. At a subsequent meeting of the new committee. Mr C. -Prestidge was re-elected chairman, and Mr G. Mulligan was appointed secretary.
