DEFENCE IN MAINTENANCE CASE. (fuss association mjcasxn.) AUCKLAND, April 21. The case against John William Hope, apjed 33, for defaulting to the extent of £53 15s in respect of an order for the maintenance of his wife in England -was continued at the Magistrate's Court to-day. The dofence was a denial of identity. TheT Magistrate said there was so much pubfic interest in the case tha* he would give a written judgment.
