VERSAILLES TREATY.
GERMAN DEFIANCE. (BT CABLE-PRESS ASSOCIATION-COPTWOHT ) (AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION.) (Received April 21st, 7.5 p.m.) BERLIN, April 20. The State railways, defying the "Versailles Treaty, announce a 30 to 35 per cent, reduction in freight on iron and steel going to the shipyards. This reduction docs not apply to foreign steel or to the Saar output. The new rates arc for the purpose of cheapening the cost of shipbuilding.
