RIFLE SHOOTING.
OAKES SHIELD MATCH. A match between tho Kaiapoi Defenoo Club (the challengers) and the Eailway Defence Rifle Club (the holders) took place at Bedoliff3 on Saturday. The weather was bitterly cold, and the wind was against good scoring. Owing to a, mishap on the road, three members of the Kaiapoi team aid not shoot a,t tho opening range.
