Tho last official of tho Bank of England leaves tho building to-day, when rebuilding will bo begun. This may last from five to ten years. The opposition to interference with the old building has been conciliated by tho retention of the groat outer wall familiar throughout tho world. A gigantic new building will be erected within the old boundaries.
