Wilkinson, is the latest confidencc-gang victim. T\ stranger, claiming to be an ex-army captain, confided that he was in a position to obtain tlio most exclusive stock exchange information on which a fortune could be made. Wilkinson later met the ex-captain and two others, who were in partnership, and discussed the proposal, after which Wilkinson hand,ed over £SOOO as his share of the venture. The schemer failed to keep the next appointment and Scotland Yard, on Wilkinson's description, identified two of the party as notorious swindlers.
