ENTRANCE SCHOLARSHIPS AND EXHIBITIONS AT CHRIST'S COLLEGE..
TO THE EDITC3 0? "THB PSZSS."
Sir.—l should. be. much obliged if sou/.could give the widest possible publicity to the existence at Christ's College of the entrance scholarships and exhibitions, advertisement of which ap•Pears in your columns. As will be'seen on reference to that'advertisement, the College-is offering for competition this year.four scholarships tenable for four years," covering -full cost of tuition fees at the College. In addition,,. several exhibitions amounting to half-fees ar6 offered to deserving boys whose parents are in need of financial assistance. . I feel ffuite certain that if the existence of these scholarships and exhibitions -,were really appreciated among the parents of boys attending the primary schools, there would be very keen competition for them. Unfortunately there exists such a widespread misconception • that tho College is the preserve of tho rich, thatl have failed up to data to secure much competition for those valuable .rrants. If• you can assist me by giving publicity .to these facts, I should be verv grateful, and I think that parents who wish,to send their sons to the College but need financial assistance, would be grateful also.—Yours, etc.,
E. C. CROSSE. Christ's College, November 19th.
