DEFENCE OF TRADE ROUTES. BRITISH GOVERNMENT'S PROPOSAL. (bt cable— prb3b association— coptmght) (Stdnex "Sun" Service.) LONDON, November 19. The Nary is alive to the urgency of Lord Jellicoe's warning for the need of first-class cruisers for the defence of trade routes. It is learned that Mr Baldwin immediately revived the programme for building eight cruisers, which number the Labour Government reduced 'to five.
