* Personal. Mr W. F. Spindlcr, etationmaster, is now on leave, prior to retiring on superannuation. Mr P. J. Bond, relieving officer, is acting-stationmaater. Oddfellows' Hall. The finul performance of the Hi Lei Cabaret Revue was given, in the Oddfellows' Hall list evening:. The ball was crowded, and the entertainment was much enjoyed. Tho proceeds were in aid of the funds of tho Lyttclton Rowing Club. The Pictures. "Nanook of the North" and "Young Ideas," featuring Laura La Plante, will b» repented at tho Harbour Light Theatre tonight, together with a comedy and episode 15 of "Buffalo Bill." To-morrow, "Lilies of tho Fiold." featuring Corinno Griffith and Conway Tearlc, will bo screened. There is a. good supporting programme. __. On Monday tho Dixie Jubilee Singers, now appearing in Ghriatohurch,- will give their entertainment of part singing, harmonising, plantation melodies, solo work, and last, but not hwat, good clean comedy. Tho reserve plan for circle and orchestral stalls is at Hat, ton's. Y.W.C.A. A very enjoyable wind-up fanoy dress dance was held in the Y.W.C.A. rooms on Wednesday evening. Miss Gray, loader oil the local branch of the Y.W.C.A., was hostess. Prises for the best fanoy dress wero awarded to Miss Roniv Agar (Flower) and Mr J. Parker (Nigger Minstrel).
