A relief official of St. Faith's Board of Guardians, Norwich, called attention to the case of a farm labourer, with a wife and eight children ranging from 14 years to 14 months. The man's wages arc 25s weekly, leaving 21s 7d for food after insurance and rent arc paid. The Guardians made an allowanco Of three and a half stones of flour woekly.
