A fire at Elliott Brothers' Wholesale chemists' works at Rozelle caused heavy damage. Tho fire sproad over an area of several acres, but the firemen, by great efforts prevented tho outbreak involving the whole of the Works, the blaze being confined to the packing plant. Fumes from the heavy stocks of chemicals, and a poor water supply, mado'tbo fire-fighters' task a heavy one. Several firemen had to be treated for the effects of fumes. (fSIIBS ASSOCIATION TELIQBAMS.) NEW PLYMOUTH, November 19. Early this morning fire totally dcstroved a four-roomed farm, dwelling on Egmont road. Tho occupants lost practically tho whole of., their belongings. Tho house and farm on •which it stood were owned by the Taranaki Farmers' Meat Co., and tho occupier was Shirley Thomson, the company's farm manager. The house was insured for £2OO in the Yorkshire Office, and the furniture for £350 in tho United Office.
