MEETING; OF COUNCIL. The Council of ,tbo Cantsrßury Automobile- Association met last evening, when there were present:' Messrs W. H. Nicholson (president), H. E. Kenn'ett, H. C. Harley, F. D. Saxgent.' R. W. Lochhead,' W. R. Carey, F. Lill, F. W. Freeman, and B. Falck. . . ' The chairman said that the membership campaign at-present in progress was- proving.., successful. He moved that tho thanks of the Association bo accorded the Canterbury branch of the New Zealand Motor Traders' Association for..granting: free spaco at thq ' Olympia Bhow for .a'lounge.', -The raofcion was carried. . ' '" A vote'of, thanks was accorded all those who had assisted in providing fire-fighting plant .for tho parkingplace at : the A. and P. Show..' .. Ninety-three new :■' ihembers wero elected; making a', total .of. 1.53 for tho .year beginning. October ls-t. A letter was received asking .tho Association-to- appoint delegates to' attend a meeting, to be held in Christchurch, in connexion with the 1 . New Zealand and South Seas Exhibition.
