NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIP. . The fifty miles amateur ■ road raeo championship .of. New Zealand takes place oa Saturday i'roni Ashb.urton to, Christchurch. A-great entry has boon received,-compris-ing tho best amateur riderß in tho Dominion, and it is espected that .upwards of 90 will face the-etarter. A handicap is'bcias -run in conjunction with the championship, 'bo there will bo a Rocd deal of speculation' as to who will set' fastest time. Tho position of honour is occupied by Fldtt (Wellington) and Mitchell,. u.unt and Forrester (Christchurch), whilo Cooper and Harrison' (Wellington), • Tippctt • (Hawera).
