OBITUARY.
Mr j. o. lewton: Mr James Charles Lewton, n familiar figure in, the Southbridge, district, died a. day or two ago at the age of \55 years. Mr Lewton came from North Canterbury and carried on farming at Southbridge until last April, when failing ■• health compelled him to "retire. By air who knew him he was greatly respected! He leaves a widow and two daughters—Mrs F. B. Anderson and Miss. Inez Lewton. .
