In. the Romney section Messrs J. A. Johnstone and C H.' S. Johnstone were the only exhibitors, the eheep being up to a fine standard. The well-inown local breeder, Mr Isaac Andrew, of 'Wajhao Downs, carried off all the: awards in the English Leicester class, being tho only exhibitor. There were ninety-fbtir" entries ;in the Border Leicester class, ; Messrs H. Ruddehklau arid A. M.. Copland "practically" autrying off all the. awardß. To say that the Corriedale3 made the show would-be to do'them no more than justice. -.. Of -tho forty-two • entries- Mr Isaac Andrew secured nine firsts and is to be congratulated '. on . success. Mr C. H. S. Jphnstone also' carried off a number of the: awards;™ In the • fat sheep section competition "was. very keen. Mr A. W. Uamett; secured a number of firsts. Of the fourteen : entries received for the crosebred class, the honours ' wore evenly, divided. In'the cattle classes Jerseys and'Friesians were the only .ones well supported. In Shorthorns and Ay rehires there were only two. an<L three entries respectively. Mewrs Brown. Bros, were- awarded the champion-; ship for Shorthorn bull. Mr "W. . Duncan's: Sunny' .Yale Robert annexed the championship for bull calved Eince July, 1322. ''Mr. G.' Murray's Earl of 'Caithness got first for Bull calved since July, 1923. The Jerseys, were-' a fine lpt. ,Mr. S. Dale was awarded the* championship with Beavelando. Tim, Mr; R. Madebern'e Juanita-'s Girl was the champion cow.' Twentv-two Friesians were shown. Mr J'Briggs's Dutch Prince was awarded the: championship, : and' Mr H. . Allnutt s Morven'Lady Gold Top was the champion AVaimate has always had a great reputation for-.'draught. horses. Messrs: J. Patrick, A. Brown and A. Conland were .prominent exhibitors.
