ROTORUA FISHING.
A PROMISING REPORT. (SPSCIAI, TO "TBB P83»9.") AUCKLAND 1 , November 18. Thu promise of early fishing forecast for Rotorua is likely to bo fulfilled. The lake has been at a high level for many months, and feed has been plentiful—possibly too plentiful to make the fish eager. A Impounder in first-class condition was taken off Kawaha Point. Such a catch is auite an event so early in tho season. Colonel Blakcny, fishing at Hamurana, has boon very successful with the fly. The fish, though not big, are exceptionally well coloured and firm in flesh and arc strong fighters. All tho streams from Ngongotaha are flowing strongly, and the Qb.au Channel is flush to tho banks. Mr Tolly, of Hamurana, reports strong enquiry from England in regard to tho fishing prospects. This he attributes to good propaganda during the Exhibition season. The etateraent is supported by the principal hotel and accommodation house proprietors, There is also quiet enquiry for small residential blocks around the lako.
