Billiards. Geo. Smith won the Lyttelton Club's weekly flying fifty billiard tournament on Mcnday night, S. Wale 3 being tho runnerup. Bowling. Tho following: will repnesont the Lyttelton Club against St. Albans, at Lytteiton, on Saturday next:—A. Howstone, A. T. Robertson, H. 11. Barnard, D. Pago (s); AV. C. G. Taylor, E. Wcastell, M. Hodgins, J. McCormack (s); R. Phillips, W. T. Foster, J. Garrard, J. Gower (s); W. F. Nicoll, W. C. Cleary, W. H. Hollis, J. H. Collins (b).

The Pictures. "George Washington Junior," starring Wesley Barry, will be repeated at the Harbour Light Theatre to-night, together with w comedy, and the first episode- of tho new serial, "The Social Buccaneer." To-morrow a. double feature programmo will be submitted. Tho fir3t feature is "Nanook of the North," a story of" the frozen wastes within the Arctic Circle, which incidentally depicts the lives and customs of the Eakimo. Tho other attraction is "Young Ideas," starring Laura La Planto. A special attraction is offered for next Monday night, when the Dixie Jubilee Singers, at present appearing with great success in Christchurch, will present their most attractive programme of songs, plantation melodies, and chorni singing, interspersed with a generous supply of piquant comedy. The reserve plan is at Hatton's.

Glee Olub Concert. The Canterbury Kilwinning Glee Club gave its final concert of tho season in the Kilwinning Hall on Monday night, in aid of the "Empty Stocking Fund." A "request" programme was submitted and ■proved most enjoyable. Concerted numbers which were particularly well eung, were "The Lost Chord" (Sullivan), with piano and organ accompaniment, "Brightly Dawns Our Wedding Day" (Sullivan), and "The Soldiers' Chorus" (Gounod). Bro. C. S. Brown gave some of his inimitable humorous recitations. Bros. W. Wa.-lfion and L. Matthew* gave humorous duets of tho farcical order, the former making up well as a domestic of tho "slavey" typo. Their turna provoked roars of laughter. Other items wore:—Glee, "Merrie England" (German), the Club; glee, "Hunting Chorus," from "Dorothy" (Cellier), the Club; vocal duet, "Friendship" (Maiziels), Miss A. Carson and Bro. A. J. Merrifield: glee, "Comrades in Arms" (Adam), the Club: song, "The Star of Bethlehem" (Adamß), Bro. A. A. Swaby; B-lee, "Moonlight and Music (Pinsuti), the Club; two-part glee, "The Peasant's Song" (McNaughtyj the ladies; trio—piano, 'cello and organ, "Intermezzo" from "Cavalleria Kusficana," (Mascagni); Mrs Merrifield, Miss N. Foster and Bro. A. A. Swaby; vocal duet, "Love Divine" (Stainer), MEss E. Muxlow and Bro. A. A. Swaby; gleo, "Soldiers' Choru3" (Gounod), the Club; glee, "Queen of the Night" (Smart), the Club; glee, "The Village Bhcksnrit&i" (Weiss), the Club; quartette. "Wh»n Evening's Twilight" (Hatton), Miss A. Carson, Mre A. A. Swaby, Bros. W. G. Carson, and A. J. Merrifield; song, "Love's Coronation" (Aylward) ('cello and organ obligate), Bro. A. J. Merrifield; glee, "Bells of Eve" (Burmflton). tho Club; vocal duet. "Violets" (F. H. Cowen), Mesdames H., Gates and T. M. Curnow; *l«e, "Good Night Beloved" (C. Pinsuti), tho Club. _ The work of tho Glee Club, as exemplified by itß concerts during the past few months, hag boon of a very high order and reflects muci credit on the honorary conductor, Bro. A. A. Swaby.
