ENGLISH PARK STADIUM.
TO-MORROW NIGHT'S SPORTS MEETING. The. weekly sports meeting, which will he held to-morrow at the English Park Stadium, promises to be even more interesting than any .of those previously held. The entrants include Phil o'Shea,..J. Henderson, J. Bearman, "W. Mackie,' A. B. George, and G. F. Goodall (Temuka), and all the lesser lights. The first class event 3, of which there are three, include half-mile, three-quarter-mile, and a five-mile scratch race. All these will bo wel' worth, seeing. The five-mile scratch race, paced by fresh men every lap, should see the New Zealand record for that distance smashed. The'training operations of the riders have been marked by wonderful improvement, and as they are now getting used to the new tracar, some very fast races should be witnessed.
