ELECTRICITY CONSUMERS.
NUMBER AWAITING SUPPLY. In the.area of supply controlled by tho Christchurch City Council there are approximately 25,000 houses, "but of these only 34,000 have electric light installed. This is the first use of electricity of tfhich suppliers avail themselves, iuid subsequent additions such its electric irons, radiators, cookers and water heaters, demand that an increasing supply b© available. <Jf the 14,000 houses connected to the supply less than 600 Jiave water heaters and less than 500 have electric cookers, and even those least familiar with electricity can judge from these convincing figures the inevitable development with which the Council will have to cope in the near future. fao that simple power mil be available tor >'i, rapid development, and the untold benefits which follow as a natural result, every person who has the well are of the city at heart should support the loan on December 4th.
