GYMNASTIC DISPLAY.
A VARIED ENTERTAINMENT. A troupo of gymnasts, known 35 tho Riocarton Gyidßasium Girls, gave an excellent display in tho Choral Hall last ©voning. Tha display was given in aid of the Ridgely 1.0.0. F. and tho Linwood Druids Lodge Christmas tree fund. The entertainment was bright, clover, and well varied and was ably supported hy Mies Dorothy Wicka' orchestra. Many of Canterburj's leading lady gymnasts contributed to tho programme, which was appreciated by tho largo audience. Tho programme was as follows: Opening chorus and spectacular march; Bailor's hornpipe, Miss Jean Irvine; club swinging display; tumorous recitation, Miss Mavis Kinscllii; action song, "Holland Moon," soloist, Mis* Lily Kinsella; Irish reel, Misses J. Irvine, M. McLean, and 0. Bermingham and T. Hansen; parallel bars; "Tho Miniature," Miss Gladys Rose; wirewalking, Miss Vera Curwen; vocal solo, Miss Lily Kinsella; Roman rings; tho Tumbling Tots in their original scena, "Woodland Frolica" (solo dancer, Miss Nonie Buckett, Teddy Boar, Mass Isobcl McLean); Russian dance, Miss Jean It vine; dumbbells display; humorous recitation, Miss Daphno Henry; Highland reel, Misses J. and I. McLean, N. Chisholm, and P. Rattray; trapeze, Misses Hobbs, Curwen, and McLeod; electric club swinging, Miss M. Smith; tumbling; action Bong—"Goodbye Shanghai"; ball-punching, Miss Lilian Fisher; and eong in charaoter, Misa Lily Kinsella. '
Tho programme concluded with a spectacular display of pyramid-building. Mr S. Chisholm wag in charge of the lighting effect and Mr F. Burnett acted os electrician. Mid show, which was produccdLby Mr Chas. Buckett, will be repeated to-night.
