Reference -was made at the meeting of the Sounds Settlers Association to the adverse comments which have lately appeared in the Press by advocates of- the Wensleydale breed with regard to/ the effect which the Bomney ram was having on the wool clip of the Dominion. As the Romney was the predominant breed in the Sounds, it was resolved that the secretary be instructed to write to the Director of Agriculture suggesting that the Agricultural Department carry out an investijjstion and publish a full report of its conclu-. sions.
