Today being a holiday 011 account of the Metropolitan Show at Christdmrch, there will be no sitting of the Magistrate's Court.
On Wednesday evening, the children of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, gave a very enjoyable concert in StAndrew's Hall. At the close of the evening, the Superintendent, Mr E. Buchanan, congratulated the performers on the 6plendid entertainment given. Songs were contributed by Janet Boss, Vera Smith. Doris Craighead, Archie Barton, Douglas Harwood and pupils from Miss Menzie's school; recitations by Dorothy Breeze, Janet Ross, Doreen Smith, Jean Smith, Agnes Johnstone, Melva Nolan, Gwen Smith, Margaret Eioyd. Mary Johnstone, Nancy Bishop, W. Matthews, Gordon Moore, Jack Timlin and Nelson Hastie; monologue by Nina Buchanan; pianoforte solos by Joan Elliott, and Mercer "Ward; (violin solos by Molly McElhinney, .Peter McLaughlan and dialoques by Keith Anderson and Nelson Hastie.
Cycling. The Tinwald Cash Cycling Club is holding a 27 mile handicap race tomorrow. Tha following are the handicaps:—J. Templeton, J. Arnst, H. Cant, H. Orton,. J. Cleland, B. Le Compte (scr); N.
