WHAT IT SHOULD BE!
THE HUB OF THE SHOW GROUND. The accommodation is only a small tpnt on ' the Show Ground, but it houses the hard-working officials of an organisation which exists solely for promoting the- greater welfare of the farmer. Its principles in brief: intelligent co-operation and mutual help. A cordial invitation is extended by the official representatives of "The New Zealand Farmers'-Union" to all visiting farmers: "Drop in and enquire as to the various matters in which the Union can be of service to you!" A further item of first importance to ,vou is this: The, Union has now its own official organ, "The._ Farmers' Weekly." This is replete with information that the progressive farmer should keep abreast of. Every phase -of farming is . intelligently ' dealt with; - all the latest deyelopmente are authority tivelv handled, and the movements of the world's.markets.are tabulated and clearly depicted. Humorous-items-,, selected fiction, and general news, ate also featured. .
Farmers should certainly support their own paper, and they certainly will when they come to realise the fact that this is "the livest paper ever produced for country readers in New Zealand." The subscription, post free, is only 15s for 12 months; and' copies of the. current number may bo had gratis at the secretary's tent, .situated in the Main avenue on the Show Grounds;
