Train Service. ' To-morrow (Show Bay) special trains will leave Christchurch for Lvttelton at 6.35 and 9.30 a.m., leaving Lyttelton for C ' church at 9.0 and 9.55 n.m. In tho Methodist School hall'last evening an old-faßhioned tea meeting was hold, the .occasion being the continuation of tho seventy-first anniversary services of the church. The tables wero prettily decorated, and the hall was well filled with people, In the church a short choral service was held, the Soloists being the Rev. Arthur Hay, Mi: L. Symonds, and Mis-i Slater, while the choir rendered severa' anthems. An excellent' address was delivered by the Rev. Arthur Hay. During tho evening the trust secretary gove a oonjp7eh«nsivo report on the year's work, detailing the improvements to the church property, and work doho by the various church organisations. Man Overboard. While ascending the gangway of the steamer Port Chalmers yesterday .afternoon a reman named Thomas Samuels fell overboard. Two of his. mates went in after him and held him up till further assistance arrival. The man \?us unconscious when rescued, but restorative measures were successfully applied by Dr. B. H. Gilmour.
