A meeting of the Kcw Brighton Scout Troop Committee v.as held in tho school on Monday night, there being 'U'estnt—Mr G. ~\\ r . Tho Chief' Scoutmaster reported that it was proposed to take tho b&ys on trek to Picton during tho coming Chr.Btim.i holidays. Tlio meeting authorised the scoutmaster to have the tents and gear repaired at once. The secretary reported that the feco it lint at- Burwood liad been purchased Irozu the lecal association. The meeting authorised "the 'secretory to have the building erccted in Brighton. Tho secretary also reported that from the A raw a Patrol were due bae.c m Christcliurch from England next Thursday morning, and it wa-> decided to t icni a welcome home in the form of a campfire," to bo held in the Kiwhiti Dimain next Tucsdav night. November 38ih, and that all parents of Scouts and Scout officials be invited, to attend. It was decided to ask the local Asso: ation to apnoint Scouts Hyde ar-d March, of tho Araivi Pa+rol, assistant scoutmasters.
