SUMMER SCHOOL APPLICATIONS.
Judging bv the enquiries -that arc coming to, hind S relative to the V.E.A. Siunmsr School to be held «t Srn,.gfield at the "nd of tho vcar, the school wi:l bo more numerously attended than any of its predecessors held in Canterbury. Already applications have been received from intending students in different parts of the Dominion, including Wellington and Ctago and as fax north as Hav-cra. A ramble is .being arranged to Mr l/rton Brodlev's prepeity at Charteris Bay, the date fied being tho lith inst. Mr R. M. Laing has contented to conduct the party and to describe the different kinds cf native flora and other botanical matters of interest. It is exn.cud that about fifty students and frienas will make the trip.
