The civic farewell, held in the Town Hall this evening, was attended by a very large gathering. Tho Mayor (Sir James Uunson) pre- » sented Lord Jellicoe, on behalf of the ; citizens, with an illuminated rtddress » enclosed in a casket of native woods » bearing the city coat of arms in gold ; and silver, supported on either side 3 by a stuffed kiwi. The ladies of Auckr land, through Lady Gunson, presented > Lady Jellicoe with Goldie's painting of 5 the head of the M«ori chief Apiahoma r llairai. The presented Sir James Gunson with the letters patent of knighthood. Their Exk ceUencies leave for Wellington tomorrow night.
