CROQUET.
AKAROA CLUB. At the -annual meeting of tho AJcaroa Croquet Club Mrs Geo. Armstrong presided over a good attendance of members. Tho annual report, presented by the hen. secretary, Miss E, Jacobson, referred in detail to the doings of a very successful season. The balance-sheet showed a credit of £ls 7s. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. The election of officers resulted as follows: Patronesses, Lady K. Hcaton Rhodes and Mrs Geo. Armstrong; president, Mrs E. E. Lo Lievre; vice-presidents. Mesdames J. D. Bnice, If. Bunny, C. W. Lcete, A. P. Cowan, J. K. Newton and P. Cunningham; hon. secretary, Miss E. Jacobson; lion, treasurer, Miss Vangioni; "lion, auditor, Mr C. TV. Leetc; committee, Mesdames C. "W. Newton, H. Bunny, A. J. Faithfull, J. R. Newton, A. V. La Lievre and Miss M. Jaeobson; Handicap Committee, Mesdames Geo. Armstrong, J. lb Newton and Miss E. JacobBon; Gresn Committee, Mesdames C. W. Newton. H. Bunny and V. r . Green. Seven new members wei-o elected.
It was decided to open the season next Saturday, and to cany on tho social gatherings monthly through the summer.
